Fibonacci, Fiber, and Fun!

Mark your calendars, y'all! This Saturday, on January 6th, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, I'll be doing a short presentation of my Parallel Celebrations Shawl, recently published in Love of Crochet magazine, at my LYS Yarn Matters. I'll be talking about the Fibonacci Sequence and how it can be used to plan striping in your knitted and crocheted projects, so call to reserve your seat today and learn a little bit about how to make math fun!

You'll have the opportunity to come see, touch, and even try on my latest version of the shawl, pictured above, which is worked up in sumptuously squishy Malabrigo Rios in Purple Majesty and Pearl, and of course, visit with yours truly! I'll be available to sign copies of the magazine for anyone who'd like, one of which is included in the $10 registration fee to reserve your seat. The Winter 2017 issue of Love of Crochet includes over 20 sensational patterns for the winter season including tops, scarves, shawls, home décor, and more. You can also purchase the digital edition of the magazine directly from Interweave right now to get started on your own shawl today!

I'll also be offering a two-session class on crocheting the shawl, one on Saturdays 1:00 - 3:00 pm, January 13th and February 10th, as well as on Tuesdays 6:00 - 8:00 pm, January 16th and 30th. You can sign up in store or by calling (757) 585-4344. Read more and see all of the upcoming classes offered at Yarn Matters here.

Meanwhile, just take a look at that fringe detail. Mmm hmm. ;)
