Linear Rosemary Nail Art

I've been neglecting my nails of late. Since before the baby was born, in truth. I mean, those last few weeks? BREATHING was an issue! He definitely didn't approve of me scrunching over in a chair to paint my nails. :- /

Then, of course, once he arrived, my priorities changed. As did my sleep schedule. Or lack thereof. O.O

And so it has been. With the lack of sleep. Sleep deprivation. Zombie days. Zombie MONTHS. He STILL has only slept through the night a couple times. I fantasize about him only waking up once a night... Some day. Right. RIGHT??? I sure hope so.

In the meantime, I squeeze in crocheting where I can and about once a month I manage to paint my nails. Or so. I miss it. It's nice to have nice nails. Even if they only last for less than 24 hours because I wash my hands no less than 37 times a day now.

But I like having my nails painted. It makes me feel a bit more like me. Plus they look better in the occasional videos I've been filming. Even if no one really notices but me!

So I did these in anticipation of my next video, which will be Part 2 of the Tristan and Isolde Yarn Club Unboxing, which I am SUPER excited about! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already, and leave me some feedback after you've watched!

Polishes used include Rosemary, of course, which is kind of a ... dirty brick red/brown color by Julep and Mary Kay's Gold is Bold, which was, unfortunately, only a limited edition polish, as all of their nail polishes are. I really like this one, though! It's not a bright yellow gold, which looks better with my skintone.

I used Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat and Seche Vive Instant Gel Effect Top Coat, both from my local Ulta store and I used a striping brush from Clear Jelly Stamper for the details on my accent nails.

I'm definitely a bit out of practice and I didn't even attempt to try it on my non-dominant hand! I know, for shame. But I think it turned out all right regardless. And like I said before, I just like having my nails painted, so I'm going to try to do it more regularly again! I need a little pampering, too, right? Or something. Besides more sleep. Which would also be nice.

C'est la vie.
