I met Kim during the first annual James River Yarn Crawl at Center of the Yarniverse in Ashland, VA. We even chatted crochet a bit!
A couple months later, she touched base with me about doing a version of my Marl the Spectrum Cowl using her four-color rainbow Weather series and I had so much fun reimagining this design with her yarn! My favorite part is where the yellow and green are marled together in the rainbow fade section. It's so dynamic! And her Napoleon Sock (80/20 superwash merino/silk) is just absolutely delicious.
She debuted kits for the cowl at the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival at the end of September and she now has them available online in her shop!
Each Marl the Spectrum Kit comes with a 200 yd skein of Starstone (gray) and four 80 yd minis, one of each Weather series colorway, which includes Rain & Sleet (red), Wind Advisory (yellow), Flood Watch (green), and Freezing Hurricane (blue), which is enough to complete a cowl measuring approximately 5" x 28" (12.7 cm x 71.12 cm) following the modifications included on the card. A free download code is also included for the original pattern on Ravelry.
